...... and lenses ;)

I'm not so sure... the lenses are used on so many bodies right now and we know they aren't abandoning APSC. It's a a weird one... but can't find the deal. They could of course be releasing second versions of the 1st gen lenses...

Lucky white heather anyone? My idea just got dashed today as Fujifilm and Calumet have started an offer where you can get two free lenses with a purchase of an X-Pro1. That hit my chances of getting a good deal for my kit so I'm holding onto my X-Pro1 and lenses for now. A dream shattered... Whimper

Where is this advertised? Is it just a bid to dump 18s and 60s?

Are you the same guys who traded in your M6's when the M7 came out?
After 36 years as a camera store owner I can report that the people who were always chasing the dragon were the backbone of that business.
I have three X Pro 1 cameras and after looking at the XT1 for the first time I'm sure that I'd love to have one or more of them. Realistically speaking, though, I don't see what it would add to my ability to create a good picture.

A similar deal was offered here in Sweden where basically all Fuji retailers sold the X-Pro + 18 + 35 for about $500 less than the body alone. Curious little deal, but it proved too tempting to not spend all my money on.

I've never been one to care for the value of my gear when it comes to resale, then again it's been like seven years since I spent any significant money on a brand new camera. The value it holds to me (past aforementioned significant monetary expense at purchase) is it's capability to shoot, and that value rarely diminishes even in the face of new products.

You're cracking me up! I have one X-Pro1 and if Fuji launches an X-Pro2, I will have one of them too!

...
As to the minuses, they primarily relate to the needs of shooting the small children ("gremlins") in my house, I'm not sure that any has been addressed by Fuji yet in any body:
;);)
- Extremely slow TTL flash system with limited flash choices and no HSS
- Relatively low battery capacity
- AF that is not quite what it needs to be (for small children; it's fine for grownups)...

What about using manual Focus (like the Leica has) and an external flash?

Saving battery life a much will be the result and all your issues should be solved.

Otherwise I´ll be with Ron - don't keep a camera you do not like or use ;)

Regards, Axel

Same question I'm thinking Dante....

Same question I'm thinking Dante....

Noimmunity, what is the organic sensor supposed to do? Is it as exciting as backlit sensors were supposed to be?

Dante

Somehow I'm envisioning it being made out of carrots or celery. Don't know how that works... perhaps someone here can explain it for us????
