I was asking because if the Metabones adapter isn't going to be available for the Ricoh GXR-Mount, I might consider getting an X-Pro1 so I can use my Nikkor-S 1.4/58mm as a 1.0/50mm Noctilux clone...😱

If only the EVF in the Fuji is anything as good as the one on the GXR...

Focus peaking is not as good currently as the one on the gxr, but it is not too far off.. They promised another improvement to it in the next fw release. I found it very usable w/ my speedbooster. The xe1 is a bit better then the xp1 due to the higher resolution but I prefer to,use the xp1 due to the better balance of lens and camera body. U get mag view plus peaking just like the gxr, just one color right now, white. Other colors promised in next fw update. Unlike the gxr, once u half press the shutter, u get out of mag mode where as the gxr will go back to mag mode once u release the shutter.

On your original question about m mount lenses, ymmv all over the place once u use lenses wider than around 28. Some people are fine other are not. This is where the gxr really shines w/ the dedicated micro lenses in front of the sensor.

If all u plan to use it for is the 58f1.4, then the xe1 should be ok.. But if u ever plan to use it w/ any Leica lenses, zone focus and the ovf gets u the closest to seeing the action outside the lines as u get w/o buying a real drf.
