There will be no such thing going forward with digital cameras ... these cameras are computers with software... they will never be perfect.

Very true ... different business model than that of the more traditional camera companies, more fully adopted by the electronics giants like Sony.

Amendment: it wasn't the MM, it was the M-E.

Big picture, personally, most of what I do and own is outdated: fishing and marine gear, bicycles, cameras, clothes, cars. At least I'm consistent. And maybe I like the "patina" of familiar, used things. God help me if I were concerned enough to do anything about being outdated. I don't need the newest or best because I'm neither.
