X-T1/1b/2

The Fuji X system on the whole is such a high quality offering that i wish it was also an instantly matured system.

There will be no such thing going forward with digital cameras ... these cameras are computers with software... they will never be perfect.

Very true ... different business model than that of the more traditional camera companies, more fully adopted by the electronics giants like Sony.

Tell me about it... I had a Leica M9 and I went to sell it after I bought the X-Pro1. Just at the same time, Leica decided to bring out the 'new' M & MM cameras. It was very nice of them to price the MM at the second hand market price for an M9 devaluing mine overnight. To say I got stung is an understatement! I want a happy bunny I can say but that's life. Amendment: it wasn't the MM, it was the M-E.

So, it would seem that that update to the X-T1 is now being reported as a rumour by FujiRumors. See the article for further info http://www.fujirumors.com/rumor-update-x-t1-upgrade-x-t1p-wont-hit-market-anytime-soon/
So you lucky X-T1 owners can sigh a relief that your purchase isn't outdated now.

Big picture, personally, most of what I do and own is outdated: fishing and marine gear, bicycles, cameras, clothes, cars. At least I'm consistent. And maybe I like the "patina" of familiar, used things. God help me if I were concerned enough to do anything about being outdated. I don't need the newest or best because I'm neither.
