Apples and oranges, I admit, due to the sensor size difference, but I can't wrap my brain around the X1 and its price tag. The IQ is going to have to be phenomenal. Canon realized that everyone wants a faster lens on these things. I guess Leica missed that memo?

That's the key. It it delivers incredible image quality through 3200, then the price might make sense. But given the lack of an OVF and 2.8 throws in some doubt...
 
The X1 is an interesting concept clearly aimed at the DP1 DP2 market ... roll on when Leica bring out the X2 with the 21mm lens :D and the X3 with the 18mm lens :D:D
