I am quite content with my X100. There would have to be a major change befor I would even think about upgrading.
Likewise, but if Fuji does nothing but swap-in the X-Pro1's sensor, then I'll buy the new model in a heartbeat! As much as I like the X100's output and as confident as I am that we're not yet seeing the best the X-Pro1 sensor has to offer, the difference in image quality between the two as things now stand is, for me, simply too large to ignore.

Look, you don't have to use it but the X-100 flash is FANTASTIC for daylight fill because the X100 has such a high sync speed. Fuji would be total fools to ditch that KILLER FEATURE not found in any other camera with a similar form factor.
Regardless, would still prefer no flash. Simplicity and all that. I don't like fill flash, but I understand what it can do and that I'm likely in the minority.

So, do as I do, and disable it when appropriate. I don't understand the objection. It's there if you want it and if you don't it's simple to disable it.

Well-known
Well, it looks like its been a rumour as Fuji has denied the discontinued story going by this: http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/photo-news/538983/fujifilm-scotches-x100-is-dead-rumour
It's still a good camera that is probably selling relatively well.

Doesn't that statement seem loaded?
However, when approached by Amateur Photographer, a spokesman for Fujifilm UK said: ‘The camera is still in production and is not discontinued as far as the UK is concerned.'
Doesn't that statement seem loaded?

I would like to see a tele adapter for 50m m fov!
So a used x100 would be a nice "2 lens kit" despite the fairly small difference between 35 and 50.
This might be the x200:http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2012/07/29/fuji-x200-here-soon-my-guess-is-yes-the-x100-is-now-999/

The funny thing is that I bought my x100 for $1080 brand new at my local central city camera dealer in October last year. A price drop to $999 is like pocket change.
