Whilst the review hasn't been completed, the X100 has now been included in the studio comparison shot tool. Very impressive at high ISOs, even looking cleaner than my new Pentax K5 DSLR.

The RAW files from my X100 destroy the RAW files from the LUMIX G1 - 20/1.7 I previously owned. The X100 RAW files are noticeably better than those from my D300, and I find them to be remarkably close to the D700's RAW output. The D700 handles gross over exposure better than the X100. Highlight recovery for the X100's RAW files is amazing. But the lens/sensor does not handle gross over exposure from point sources well.
From f 2.8 on the lens is competitive. The extreme corners are not as good as I've seen with other 24 mm lenses. While I believe this is irrelevant, I mention it for those of us who are hyper-critical of lens performance. At f 2 you have to be careful as spherical abberation is visible in some lighting situations. The OOF performance is what I'd expect from a 23 mm lens. Otherwise the contrast is normal (not too strong).
I would buy this camera again in a heart beat.
