I have just purchased a X100, built in 2012, hardly used, with it's original firmware. I want to upgrade but I don't know: Do I have to install 1.30 before I repeat with 2.0 or can I go directly to 2.1 from 1.0?
Thanks,
Thomas

You can just install the most recent firmware and skip all previous versions.
The camera is greatly improved by the 2.1 firmware.
Just make sure the battery is topped off before you start the installation. I assume you will be using the SDHC card method. If so just format the card before you copy the firmware and then format it again after the update. The update file must be copied to the top of the card's directory tree.

If you need more info on the update, there was a discussion a month or so ago on this forum when I did my update. Everything went well and it was a worthwhile improvement.
