I've been a Fuji X shooter for almost three years (X-T1 is my main camera now), but new to the X100 cameras. I recently bought a X100T, and took it to the Minnesota State Fair. Here are two very different shots from the fair.

First, a mother and daughter taking advantage of a "misting station" to ward off the heat and humidity, if only for a moment.

Thanks! It's a fun camera, and very capable. I also shot quite a bit at a wedding just before the fair (I was not the hired photographer, just a spectator). I used both my X-T1 and the X100T, and was struck by how the images had essentially the same "look", regardless of which camera was used. Add to that the very similar menus and controls, and it was just a wonderful experience shooting both cameras.

i considered getting the x100t instead of the 23 1.4 for my x-t1, then just use the x-t1 with the 56 and the x100t :) glad to hear the images maintain the same "look" :)

I considered the same thing, but ended up with both as I bought the XF23mm over a year ago and put off buying a X100T. My impression is the XF23mm f/1.4 is optically better, particularly in the corners. I suppose that's to be expected, as the 23mm on the X100 series is designed to be as small as possible. Contrast and color are surprisingly consistent however between them, however, especially if the X100T lens is stopped down a bit. It's obvious to me they're from the same "family", and that's one of the things I really like about this Fuji gear.

Here's the image from the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at the State Fair that was accidentally deleted. I only had time to shoot a couple from that vantage point. Luckily it worked well enough.

please repost ... very Sorry indeed !

No worries, Helen. Thanks for letting me know so I could re-post.

The X100 series has obviously improved, my X100 would never have focused on either of those images (dark, mist etc).

I've really had very little trouble with focusing so far. Almost no problems, in fact. I was somewhat surprised at that, having read of others who had problems. Maybe firmware updates solved a lot before I got my X100T.

Here's a good example of one that I didn't expect to work. This was at a brew pub after a wedding rehearsal. These folks were there also, part of another wedding happening nearby. They were sitting at another group of tables near us, and I was having fun watching their interactions. For fun I held the X100T up in the air while I remained seated, and yelled "smile!". So this was not held properly, and I couldn't even see what was going on focus-wise. Worked just fine, even if it's only a snapshot.
