Just saw X70 with Pics over at fujirumors, what do you think?

the ricoh gr is still the camera to beat, though the tilting screen and shutter/aperture/ev comp controls are nice, i guess.
i think fuji would have done better to make a coat pocketable 1'' sensor camera with a 24-100mm f2-2.8 lens, with a decent size built-in evf in the corner like a rangefinder, with a fully articulated screen, and x100 style controls. basically, a better x30.
Several things come to mind
- needs to be at least comparible in price to xm w/ 18f2
- how many will go for it just because it is a Fuji and the control layout
- there were some people that never liked the Gr or the coolpix a because it was too small
- W/ what they did w/ the 35f2, u know this is gonna be a fast sharp lens
- just put a ovf on it, your good to go
- like the 35/50 crop mode.. I wonder if they did same as Gr or Leica q.
For me, I'll pass, already have the Gr. If they made a x200 (50 fov), I would consider it. I wish they would do a crop 50 for the x100 as a fw update (I don't like the bigger size of the tcl and don't mind loosing mp).

Gary, I'm with you on most of your thoughts. I'm thinking that the X70 with the 27mm lens might be an interesting way to go. It'd be similar in size to the GR, gives me the Fuji colors, and gives me a good all-rounder focal length (40-ish mm).
Wouldn't that just be an xm1 (or 2) with a 27mm that you can't change lenses on?
