I shot tri-x only a couple of times when I first started and I didn't know what the heck I was doing so I can't honestly compare them.

But so far I really like Arista.

I heard it's Tri-X but I don't really know. I do know it looks good & at $1.89 a roll I bought 9 rolls of it with my rolls of Ektar 100 I got from Freestyle. I'm going to grab some of that Legacy Pro when it comes out in Janurary.

I use Tri-X extensively, and recently got 30 rolls of Arista of which I shot 20 already; though of course I have no official evidence of it being Tri-X, I am pretty sure that - if it isn't - it is is twin brother in disguise. 😀 same developing times & proprieties, tones, grain... oh well, whatever it is, it looks very very good and it cost quite a bit less than Tri-X, so I think I will stock up some more, shoot it, enjoy what I see and stop worrying about wether it is Tri-X or not 😀
