Does anyone use 200 ISO Film with the flash?
Not sure if I should set the ISO on the camera on 160 or 125 for indoor flash with the A16 flash. Or, is it mute, since indoors the camera sets the f/4 and 1/40s regardless of the film? Since the flash sensor only determines the flash exposure, I need to use 100 or 400 film in the XA with flash?

Another words
Is there a way to expose 200 film correctly with flash indoors?

Not a good answer but if your shooting 200 color print set the flash for 100 iso. Color print film does very well with one stop over exposure.

Thanks..
I asked because I have a few rolls of 200 ISO Neg film left before I get 100 film for the XA.... I am using 100 ISO slide film in the M5..
I am not sure how well the XA meters for slide film. Plus the "new to me" XA will be my carry all the time camera, so I will use film with a greater error latitude.

After a day out with 200 ISO film, I think 400 ISO film will be better for walking about downtown and taking captures at hip level.
BTW, cradling the XA in my right palm (perfect fit), I can very easily take a capture with one hand and wind the film with my thumb quickly afterwords. Set at f/16 and 8' yields 4' to INF to in focus. That's why the 400 ISO film.

My 1st impression is that this camera will be a lot of fun to use, and should improve my street candid as far capturing unexpected expressions.

Don't forget the thing may be 31 years old and might not be working as well as it should. Once checked and repaired - if needed - they are superb. And my one was pretty good before the checking etc. I've had two since new and a reserve I sold recently, can't fault them.

PS and I envy you having the A16 lash; I'm still searching...

Today, it seemed to work just fine, I will have wait to see the film I shot today to be sure though. But, I hoping 😎. Or it's a $80..00. overhaul I guess. But, everything seems to work as it should. Handles real nice with one hand for everything, except changing film 😛
