Well, stretched the limits to find the envelope within which I can work the XA2. The first rolls was Kodak 400 color and here are a few examples. Nothing much else to print but I learned a lot from the first 24 exposures. Next up is TriX, already loaded and a few frames shot....;) Oh, pardon the crappy scans from the local lab. Negatives are quite sharp.

Those look good, Dave. It looks like it is metering well. Such a handy little camera, and great for quick shots.

Thanks, Mike... it does seem to meter just fine. About half of the first roll was indoors and found out quickly that it isn't an M3 with 1.5 Summarit! Also, the color film has produced very saturated and tinted images. Different I must say and can see it has potential. The negatives are sharp but it is not evident in the scans which are the best I can do at the moment.

I like the field of view with the lens and the size of the camera. I find myself forgetting that I have it, then remembering at the last second and can get a shot quickly.... At the ballgame, I can just set up on the fence or wall, with my finger on the shutter, and watch the game. Fire the shutter at the exact moment (more or less ...) and no muss no fuss.

So, next up is TriX and a totally different trial for the camera. Hope to get it shot and developed before Friday. Hitching a ride to the beach for the weekend!:D
