Well according to Fuji rumors, it looks like
- xt1 fw update releases by late June (22 maybe)
- xe2 fw has a project oct-nov timeframe
The difference in the hw looks to be enough that they need to rework and test it until as late as nov...
http://www.fujirumors.com/i-have-th...nfirms-x-e2-fw-in-octnov-x-t1-4-0-on-june-22/
I wonder if all the af feature will make it to the xe2...

Many should make it as CPU clock rates are similar if not identical for XE-2 and X-T1.

Sony A7 "universal back for legacy lenses"
That's an intriguing way to look at it, Gary.

That has been my main use for the Sony cameras since I picked up my Nex 5n..way back when.... Until lately w/ the Zeiss lenses, not much in the way of good primes except the 35f2.8 and 55f1.8. The new 35f1.4 is pretty big. The new 28 maybe nice but now my focal length.
I really only have one ff af lens, the 35f2.8. As a ff universal back for both my rf and slr lenses, what more can u ask for outside of edge smearing fix for rf lenses shorter than 50
Vignetting and color fringing can be fixed in post. I still have my film rf cameras around if I really want to use the wide angles anyway.
I am perfectly happy otherwise w/ my apsc cameras. The Ricoh gr, Fuji xt1 and Sigma dp2q are my go to cameras right now plus the newly acquired Panasonic LX100. I really don't use the a7 very much outside of putting legacy glass on it..
I pretty well decided that if I am going to shot film, it is gonna be mainly medium format. There the Voitlander's rule as far as I am concerned.
