The Fuji GUys published the difference in the af performance for their lenses before and after the lens fw update to support phase detection on their xe2. The time looks to be cut in about half.

It seems much faster.
Just got the X-E1 for $396 shipped. It's not as elegant as the X-Pro1. I'll wait a year and then buy the X-E2 for $500-600.

the xpro needs diopter adjustment ability before i'll even think about getting an updated one. i need that way more than the ovf.
Of course used... they aren't that low new yet. I don't use the diopter... I just use my glasses. Do you shoot without your glasses Joe or is it a bi-focal type of thing?

I ordered a new X-e1 body on Thanksgiving, should be here today! Unfortunately, the Rainbow adapters haven't arrived yet, so I may be just holding the camera and playing with the menus a few days. Diopter definitely needed by my eyes, I have to adjust my G1 and binoculars quite a few turns after my kids use them.
