Hi guys,

Does anybody know places or people who can help with service of Fuji TX-I? Looks like I have RF misalignment - the last 5 rolls from my trip to Karelia is mostly out of focus (strange enough bearing in mind most of them were taken between f/5.6 and f/11 and mostly landscape). And it happens with both 45 and 90 lenses...

I've contacted Hasselblad UK service department. They said they do not service Fuji equipment on the permanent basis even knowing it's absolutely the same as XPan... The only thing they can is to check what can they do with it without any guarantees. Sending the camera from Moscow to London without understanding it will helps not the best idea, I think. So any input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Roman

roman i had the same problem and had it fixed by my normal camera repair man. simple aligment issues can i think be corrected by virtually any competent repair person.

re DOF and focus, one has to remember that while pano mode increases the angle of view, taking the 45mm to 24mm and the 90mm to around 40mm, the DOF remains what it is with the ORIGINAL FL. so the 90 has a very narrow DOF in both normal and pano.

well, why not eliminate that first as the cheapest easiest option? have its aligment adjusted by your trusted local repairman and take it from there. tbh, i trust my guy to tell me honestly what he can and what he cant do. it might be an easy fix. at the end of the day though, imo, its still just a film camera, albeit with an added functionality, and in my simple mind, a good repairman whom you trust should be able to take care of most mechanical difficulties.

Grand mercy, Jean-Mark :)

i will try the local trusted guy for the RF arrangement fist. If it dosen't solve the problem I will contact the guys from Paris.
