I borrowed/used a TX-1 on a recent shoot and after seeing the results I am now hooked. :)

Anybody know what a new/used xpan I/II kit (or fuji TX-1/2 respectively) goes for in HK?

Thanks,
Phil

Any result from that query to Hong Kong? I checked with another dealer there and he quoted US$2450, not too far off from US prices.

thanks for the info Terence, that's nowhere near cheap I guess, as the Xpan II is selling for 2290 Euros (Kit with 45mm) over here.
Anthony hasn't replied yet though, he's probably busy.

Let me know if you find out more and thanks again!

I haven't had much luck looking for a cheaper Xpan II but I finally found a TX-2 with the 45mm and center filter for about US$2150. I think that represents about the best deal after checking out several of the larger stores. This is a fully warrantied set, serviced by Hassey.

Rich from photovillage.com has a couple of mint Xpan I for sale, drop him an email at rich@photovillage.com I had reserved one but will write him later to cancel as I found the tx-2.

The TX-2 with 45 goes for USD 2000 in Beijing, the Hasselblad Xpan2 w 45 goes for USD 2400. Negotiations might get you a few % off.

In the UK buying from HK isn't the saving it appears.

If I buy a Hasselblad Xpan 2 kit new from HK it will sell for around

Xpan 45 mm Kit = $2400
Shipping + insurance included = $2460
add UK duty = $2460 * 1.05
UK tax = ($2460*1.05)*1.175 i.e. 17.5%
add internal postage charge by Royal Mail ((2460*1.05)*1.175)+20
gives a dollar total of around $3055.

$3055 is a UK pounds figure of £1669.

Whereas www.robertwhite.co.uk will sell you a new Xpan 45mm kit for £1592 + postage within Europe. It would be £1355 to the USA, around $2500 + shipping.

I am not sure how the Hassy guarentee (sp?) is worded, it may be worth seeing if it is regional - some manufactures are some manufactures aren't.
