xpan prints which paper

Hi xpanners

I'm owner of a xpan for a year now and constantly follow this forum. Big help for me so far! But now i have a question:

I'd like to print my xpan panos (scanned with epson v750) on my epson r2400 printer. It offers a rollpaperfunction so i should be able to print them about 32 x 89 cm. Which paper should i use for fine art b/w? I read that epson doesn't offer a rollpaper that is fine art quality.

I've printed on Epson Premium Glossy rollpaper 210mm (A4) wide. Another solution could be to print 2 pictures on A3 or A3+, placed one above the other, then cut the paper in half, but the print wouldn't be very big.

The R2400 is an A3+ printer - are you sure you can print 32cm wide?
 
I'm not sure (i haven't tried it so far ...). The only thing is that epson offers rollpaper 329mm x 10m and according to epson store it should be for the r2400.

Maybe i should try some of the epson papers first - it is only - i didn't want to spend money on expensive papers and there might be another company that offers better paper for fine art than epson.
 
Send you XPan neg to me. I will scan it on a LS-9000 4000 DPI and print it on the Z3100 on any width you want up to 24 inches 🙂

They look great. I usually use Smooth Fine Arts paper, but I have also use Kozo Rice paper. Really nice stuff either way.

Silly me - i forgot about the option to cut the paper. I found out that there are several manufacurers of fine art paper like Harmann or Hahnemühle that offer rolls (but min 43,2 cm wide). I think i'll try that first (or if available A1), because sending my negs by mail sounds a bit scary for me and .... i just bought my equipment to scan and print and I think I should be able to get good results out of it ...
