I recently acquired an XPan (version 1). The seller told me that the camera had been serviced by Hasselblad UK.
From my reading, the original XPan had a threaded cable release socket on the left side above the door latch whilst the Xpan 2 had an electronic cable release socket in the same place.
My Xpan seems to have a rather strange socket where the treaded cable release should be (see attached photos). Is this an after-market modification (perhaps by Hasselblad when they serviced the camera)? Or did some XPan v1 have electronic sockets? Whatever the case, will an electronic cable designed for the Xpan 2 work on this socket?
Many thanks.

That's definitely not what my xpans cable release socket looks like. Mine is threaded. Unsure what that is..

I have both XPan II and a TX-2 and both also look threaded. Not at all like this. The electronic release has a threaded stabby thing looking like normal release. Not sure what you have there...

Hi, Mr. Monz,
Perhaps speak with the folks at Paramount Cables?

You may already be familiar with them, but they can do some custom work, if needed.
Robt.
