I had written previously that my manufacturing partner for the XpanScan film holder (that I hoped to have for sale by this time) had been diagnosed with a potentially serious (okay, fatal) condition.
But recent surgery and tests have produced wonderful results and he is on the road to a complete recovery. Thank goodness.
We are hopeful that we will now have a product during the summer of 2007.
Many of you have written and I have saved your e-mail addresses. I would welcome you checking in if you are still interested. And, of course, anyone reading about XpanScan for the first time is encouraged to write me for more info.

It has been designed generically but it has been tested on an Epson V700/V750.
Initially we will be aiming at these (and similar) flatbed scanners. If things go well, we'll look at expanding.

I have the V750 and Doug Fisher's MF holder with the AN glass - and have had some good results with a height setting quite different to the few options offered on the OE Epson film holder.
However i'm curious to see how your XpanScan comes along so please keep me posted

Can you make the holder's image area slightly longer to accomodate Noblex 135 as well? Come to think of it, can you make it a few mm larger all round to allow scanning out to the film notches (top & bottom) & to the edges of the next frame (on each side)? That'd be the ideal holder.
