Currently I shoot the Xpro1 in OVF 99.9% of the time. What I'm wanting to know is if the Xpro 2 OVF Autofocus speed and parralax accuracy has improved substantially?

Also, has the focus speed of the 27mm pancake improved on the Xpro 2?

The X-Pro2 focuses down to -3EV... so that is a huge improvement. It is faster with all lenses... However, I don't know what your expectations are? What are you expecting to do with the camera?

I recall a statement from Fuji that the significant AF speed improvements were limited to five lenses, and the 27 is not one of them. That's a lens I use a lot, so I'd also like to hear specifically on this.

I find the 35/2 improvement to be significant enough to make me hesitant about upgrading.

I can definitely see a difference in focusing speed between the X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 with the 27mm.

Since I'm still perfectly happy with the XP1, the biggest improvement to the OVF I've seen is the diopter adjustment on the XP2. I wear progressive lenses and I have to be careful with eye placement with the XP1 to get a sharp view with the OVF. The EVF is worthless for my vision--it's not sharp at all, with or without glasses. Not really an issue since I don't like EVFs anyway.

The original X-Pro1 also changes its framelines when you focus.

People keep touting this as a new feature and it's not.

Bar the EFR (which is pretty cool) and dioptre adjustment (which is cool if you need it, irrelevant if not) and the greater clarity of the OVF display info..

The spec of the OVF between the P1 and P2 are very similar..

The rest of the camera is a huge improvement over the original model, but the OVF is, IMHO, more of a refinement rather than a huge leap forward

YMMV
