Xt1 light leak identified to this set of serial numbers

Looks like it may have been a certain batch run, since they are doing by serial number as opposed to general repair.

Mine is 41A042xx, and just confirmed that it exhibits the issue. Looks like I'll have to return it to Amazon and get a replacement. Currently got too many work shoots expected, I can't have uncertain amount of down time. I do appreciate Fuji is doing the right thing, and being quite quick about it though.

When I sent my 27 pancake to Fuji NJ it was returned to me in about a week including round trip time. In my situation they replaced the lens. If it is a simple fix it should not be too bad... The issue may be how many owners decide to have it done immediately.

Mine is supposed not to have the issue based on serial numbers but it does have a bit of a leak in extreme conditions (5 min exposures in bright light and then push the file 3 stops in post). I don't expect it to affect me so I'm not sending it in.

Well that's my thoughts too on this issue as mine is also in that batch of affected cameras.

My only issue though is this - When you plan to sell the camera and any prospective buyer asks "Has the camera been fixed by Fuji?"

I really can't be bothered right now in sending it back and being without the camera for a few weeks but I guess I should sometime in the future.

I'm sending mine in... the labels are in the mail. It might not effect me, but you never know how you will want to use a camera in the future or if you'll want to sell it to someone else. I can be without it for a few days.

I registered my XT-1 with Fujifilm USA. I expect them to contact me about sending the camera back for the fix.

If they don't, I'll contact them when I buy a second body (sometime in May or June?). There's no reason not to have this defect fixed. So far the anecdotal evidence indicates Fujifilm is doing an excellent job turning the cameras around quickly.
