Ya been on RFF a long time if ...

If you remember when the "In Praise of the Canonet" thread at Pop Photo had more posts and views than our "Cameras & Coffee" thread.

Ya been on RFF a long time if...

- You remember when the "Camera Around the World" was shipped to it's first remote location. I'm gonna be really old (like thirty or something) before that thing finally gets to me! 😱
- You get inspired to create a thread entitled "Ya been on RFF a long time if ..." 😀

You know you've been at RFF a long time when....

you can remember Remy (RML) first displying his *PINK* M2, and then changing it to *GOLD*.

edit: Looks like I'm slow this morning.
(No, Joe. I'm not slow all the time! 🙂)

Being an old hand here, I remember that...

Brett received a huge box full of all kinds of cameras...
and I still haven't used all of them (but I'm trying)

they've been scattered a bit since then, however.. one is in France, another is in Holland.. a half dozen are in the UK, and I believe one or two are in Canada.. I consider myself an RF Distribution Center

Besides the book(s), I also remember:

When Natalia announced a website with the correct pronounciation of the names of our favorite FSU cameras in Russian.

That she was one of the first girls to join RFF!

When joe (no capitals, please) was annointed as moderator.

When Ralph started selling his Minolta gear!

The short and relatively tempestuous membership of Roger Hicks! 🙂

How RFF was featured in Shutterbug.

When Jorge helped nab a guy who broke into a camera store in Oregon.

Ah... the milestones! 🙂

i miss roman...

wow lots of stuff i had forgotten, like having 2 mamiya 6 cameras. that just seems like sooo long ago.
and it feels like i have been the mod forever!

i wonder if we need an historian who could document all this great stuff. we could have a small section open only to him/her to write our history...oh jorge...?
