Yashica 230AF with 35-70mm 1:3.3-4.5 Macro test

Another junktique shop camera, this one actually works. I shot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 after our last snow back in early March to test it out. Don’t know if the cold affected it too much, but I had to do a bit of work on most of the images. I think the lens is prone to side glare, and it definitely is too short on the tele end for my taste (35-70mm). But it handles well, and now that the weather has warmed up I might give it a better test of all the functions.

oh these yashicas are so butt ugly, its amazing.
Too bad they had their own mount instead of using the Contax N one.

I picked up one of these for £7 a while back,

The AF isn't the swiftest compared to more modern cameras, but I have to admit the results were good.

I'd like to try the 50mm or the 60mm, lenses for it, but I've yet to come across either in person.

My first SLR was a Yashica TL Super. Before that, I had purchased a Yashica movie camera while on Okinawa. When I really started using the Yashinon glass, I realized brand loyalty wasn't such a bad thing after all.
