Happy New Year all!!

I made my usual rounds to the local thrift stores on New Years Eve day and came across a Yashica 35 in it's ever ready case with hood and a couple of filters. The view finder was very dim so I popped it's top and cleaned things up a bit. After a quick scrub it has turned out to be a pretty little camera :)

I've got a roll of Kodak Gold in it now to try things out the next time the sun shines ... which could be a while here on Wet Coast.

Just wondering if any of you have had any experience with one of these. Any hints or tips? It has a totally different look and feel to it than the Electro series. It reminds me more of a German camera than the Japanese camera that it is :D Looking forward to trying it out :D

Here's a couple of photos of the addition:

The front bezel looks like it is styled after the Nikon S2 and S3. Both of those are fashioned after the Contax.

Wow, that's a beauty. I'm jealous...

By the way, anybody out there have a Ciro-flex TLR? Those are my latest fetish...

Still messing with Electro's too, though.

Yes ... fixed lens. But it looks like it should be interchangable :D

I have a CiroFlex somewhere that I've never used. I'll see if I can find it and if so if it's working.

I had two of those for a long time. (I once had at least one of every leaf shutter camera Yashica made.) The 35 came in two versions and you got the good one. The other came with a 2.8 lens and shutter speeds of 1/25-1/300.

It's a very nice, usable little picture taker with a typically good Yashinon lens. The other version may have had a Yashikor , I don't remember but that may have been why I didn't use it as much as the 1.9. Use it well and enjoy.
