Got a Yashica 35 the other day as a present, been looking for info on the net, not much around.
This is the early 1958 camera and still working fine. Have put a roll through it and the results are pretty good.
Thanks

Nice present. I bought myself one a few weeks ago, had it cleaned up a bit, and have my first roll of Ilford HP5+ in it. Hope to finish the roll by New Years and have photos to upload shortly after.
Looking forward to your pictures.

Here she is.

will scan a few images and post in the next few days.

Thanks

Here are 2 of the first roll of HP5 (don't like it much but got 120 rolls when it was on special), HP5 comes out very grainy in ID-11.
Will load up some Foma 100 for a trip up north next week and hopefully have better results.

From the tilt of the second picture, I'd say there was more than one Beck's involved. :D Lovely shots of the camera, and the results on HP5 are pretty good. too. I've always liked the classic Contax lines of the 35.

Ok, to settle the Becks and Foster debate, Fosters is not popular here in the West and i believe it is exported more then consumed in Oz. I had to treat myself to some imported beer for the festive season.

Yes the meter is a Kodalux L and is surpisingly accurate about 1/2 stop out on my Lunasix pro.
Will travel 1000Km north come tomorrow morning, will take the Yashica and some Foma 100 and see what i can do.
Have problems with all rangefinder because of eyesight problems, but it is enjoyable.
Anyway thanks for all your comments.
And Happy New Year.

Here are a few images from our last trip to the North-West, Been very hot up there at the time every day 40 degrees celsius or more, still managed to get some shots.

Yashica35 with FomaPan 100 in ID-11, it was pretty contrasty out there even late afternoon.

From the very interesting photos, I'd say the camera handled the heat very well. The trees indicate a wind that generaly blows in the same direction, and that truck is a classic 'sinking into the sands of time' shot. Would like a bit of info on the railway.
