Hi all,
I've posted a mini review about the 35cc on my website that might be of interest to some. The website is at http://photography-matters.blogspot.com/ and you can find the 35 cc stuff under the "favourite cameras" tab. Hope you like it!
Cheers,
Bruce

Nice piece on the cc. I once owned one of these, in fact it was one of my first rangefinders. It was a great camera, but as you pointed out in your write-up, it's not an M, but it is a great little walk-around camera. I sold it here on RFF to a former member a few years ago.

I had a CC too, and I liked it. The lack of exposure control was an incentive to move on though. I have a Konica Hexar AF now, which is essentially the same concept, but with more control. I did like the shape of the camera. Small but effective.

Sorry for being nerd, though there's typo on slow speed, 15sec. according to Yashica Guy. I'm glad people like and use Yashica RF's.

Another minor error: speed without batteries is 1/250 sec. (The 35cc page on Cameraquest is also wrong on this one.)

Thanks very much for pointing out these errors, guys. I'll sort them out asap.

I enjoyed your review, Koolzakukumba.
Let me ask: how would you describe the focus on your CC? Is it a little loose? I have a CC, too, but I'm completely unfamiliar with what to expect since it is my first and only Yashica.

In regards to focus, YMMV. I have a couple, one focuses somewhat loosely, the other one is somewhat tightly. Others I have tried feel a little different as well.

Steven,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The focusing on my Yashica just feels "normal" for want of a better word. It's neither loose feeling nor tight. Pretty much the same as other fixed lens rangefinders I've used. If yours feels sloppy, it's maybe time to put it in for a service.
Douwe,
I know what you're saying about the Hexar. If I was using a lot of film, I'd definitely pick a Hexar up as well. Even with my contact lenses in, I find it increasingly difficult to manually focus, whether it's an SLR or rangefinder I'm using. I've come to rely on autofocus and the Hexar's seems good from what I've read. It also helps that it has such a cracking lens! But the Yashica is still a lovely little camera that produces great results.

Yeah, I think it might need a CLA. The viewfinder could stand a cleaning, too.
Thanks for your reply, Koolzakukumba!
