This is my first post so, hello. I'm new to photography but am passionate about it and look forward to putting together a vintage rf collection. I currently only own a Canonet GIII QL17 and a 30D. My first camera ever was a G7 which I sold to get the 30D.
I just found a guy selling a bunch of vintage camera's for 150.00.
This is the list:
1.) Cine-Kodak magazine 16 camera w/ case
2.) Ansco Cadet disco 100
3.) Vivitar LX-1 w/ case (looks to me like a range finder or sorts)
4.) Honeywell auto strobonar 360A flash attachment w/ case
5.) Polaroid tripod mound #111
6.) Polaroid square shoot 2 w/ case (Polaroid land camera)
7.) Polaroid 600 Land Camera Sun600 LMS
8.) Kodak EK6 Instant Camera
9.) Kodak Junior six-20 series II
10.) Kodak Tourist Camera in original box w/ original manual, snapshot guide, and price tag. (takes 620 film)
11.) G Yashica Electro 35
12.) Vivitar PS44 Focus Free/DX
13.) Ansco “box camera” takes B2 film. Pat Pending 1489190, 1511160, 1524081
14.) Kodak M22 Instamatic movie camera
15.) Kodak Vigilant six-20 w/ original box and owner’s manual
16.) Sear T-L-S
17.) Vivitar automatic extension tube AT-5 36mm lens
18.) Revere 8 model 99
19.) Bell Howell focus free 28mm camera
20.) Kodak Brownie starmite camera
21.) This one I’m not sure what it is. The lens says “Argus Cintar F3.5-50MM” on the lens. It’s the boxey looking camera above the Brownie Starmite Camera
22.) Busch Pressman model C w/ Wollensak 101 MM lens (no 620720)
23.) GAF Pana-Vue automatic lighted 2X2 slide view
24.) Also I have a Dexter Mat cutter w/ original box, blades and insert. For use with blade 3 pat no. 2824010. Not sure what this is.
Of those I'm starting to want to collect vintage rangfinders and don't have a whole lot of money so was intersted in the G Electro 35 and perhaps the sears TLS. I offered 50.00 for the two, I'm sure it depends on their condition and that is uncertain but they seem to be well cared for. So should I go for it? are there any others that I should be focusing on? He believes that the pressman is the most valuable camera on the list(it probably is). Thanks in advance.

Welcome, i think going fo rthe Yashica G is the wisest choice if youre looking for a camera to use. Others opinions may differ of course. Just my experience.

Thanks for the reply. The Sears TLS is actually a Ricoh Singlex I kind of like it. The other RF in the list is the Argus Cintar but... I don't really like it. So you think I should offer less and just get the Yashica? maybe he'll do it for 25.00. I'll wait and see if I get another reply for a minute or two and then I'll do that. I really know very little about camera's but yes I'd like to use it. Eventually of course I hope to own a Leica or two and certainly an older Nikon...or two lol Not sure why I like RF's so much I just really like their asthetic. I recently replaced the lightseals on my Canonet and ran a roll of film through it and it worked!! wOOt! What a great feeling that was.

I'll try and ferret out whether they work or not first. I've just been looking online at those camera's and perhaps I offered a little too much. It seems you can get them pretty cheap. I'd rather not have a bunch of broken camera's lying about. Thanks for your replies, I sure appreciate it and I love this forum. Thx
