Friends,
Stretching the "RF" definition a little with the question but maybe some of you guys collecting and using Yashicas can help....
I am bidding on a set of 4 Yashica Atoron 110 cameras with ascessories. I hope to win the auction but then the question comes on what film to get and where to get it....
Somwhere on the web I saw that it used so called "minox casettes" (whatever that is?). Can anyone help out - what casettes can I get for this camera, are the difficult to find, any suggestions or good ideas !??

The Yashica Atoron camera was a subminiature camera using Minox film cassettes. Minox being of course the most famous brand of subminiature 'spy' type cameras. They are commonly seen in early spy movies.
Research Minox subminiature cameras and you will find links to obtain the film I'm sure - there is a subminiature camera culture out there as there are RF enthusiasts here.
Most of the subbies will hold onto their empty film cassettes and reload them.
Some people, who are not very knowing, will try to tell you the Miniolta subminiature film will fit - it wll not.
Minolta film is 16mm and from memory the Minox / Atoron is around 8mm.
BTW where does the 110 designation come from in your initial post?

Peter
PS If you are buying these cameras as they would have come new then each case should have a camera, bulb flashgun, soft case, chain, filters and battery. Instructions would be nice.

Archivist is quite correct. The Yashica Atoron uses Minox film casettes. These can be obtained from B&H or Adorama. The b&w film is usually Agfa and the color print film is usually Fuji. There are places that will load your casettes with any type of film you desire. For more info on these "subbies" you can check out www.subclub.org. Oh yeah, there is a subminiture rangefinder camera. Mine works great.
