When I got my Electro GT, it came with the Yashica auxiliary telephoto and wide-angle lenses in the original box. I took them out, more out of curiosity than anything else and mounted them up.

According to the instruction sheet the tele has a focal length of 58.4mm (with the camera lens) with a 1.3X magnification and a FOV of 40 degrees. The wide-angle focal length is 37.7mm (with the camera lens) with a 0.8X magnification and a FOV of 61 degrees. The Aux viewfinder has 2 bright frames for the tele and the wide-angle FOV and parallax correction marks. The lenses both have a focus conversion scale on them - you focus with the rangefinder, read the focus ring, find the footage on the lens scale then dial in the correction on the camera's focus ring. I know it sounds crazy and like a PITA, but it works.

Thought I would share two pictures with you. I just set the focus according to the scale, I didn't try to be perfect - looks close enough! The camera was in auto mode with Fuji Superia ASA 400. Both pictures were taken about 30' to 35' away from the subject - the building in the first pic is 40' long and the flag in the second pic is 4' x 6'. The first pic is with the Wide-Angle and the second is with the Tele.

Very nice, Mike, thanks for sharing! Your results look better than the results I got when I tried it!

Thanks Bill, I almost didn't even bother to try them out. I had read some things about the auxilliary lens set that made them seem more trouble than they were worth! If this is typical of the lenses performance, I would say they are both quite passable!
