Hi,

I'm not sure if I should create another thread but I'm having more doubts about my camera.

Since I have it, 3 weeks ago, I didn't shoot a roll. Last Saturday I bought my first roll and shoot some photos.
Today I picked it again to shoot and when I was putting the camera in the case I noticed a white dot inside the viewfinder front glass. It's really really small but the first thing that occured to me was that thing is fungus.

Can you advice me about this?
If it's fungus should I clean it or will it stop from spreading?
Even if this is not fungus how can I prevent this "plague"?

I keep my camera inside the case with the lens cap on in my bedroom which has minor humidity.

Best regards,
Bruno Ferreira.

Bruno, hard to say what the white dot is, but it should not be a problem removing it. Just pop the top off the camera (well, there is probably a set of instructions somewhere here, or at http://www.yashica-guy.com/index.html ), making sure you don't lose the Battery Check button. And as long as you have the top off, might as well replace the round seal at the rewind shaft. Unsolder the wire from the PC connector to make the job easier. Matt Denton also has some good repair tips at http://mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/repairtips.html

Good luck, and a job half done, is not done.
