Yashica GSN top plate replacement...

Has anybody removed and replaced the top plate on a GSN? If so, did you follow the instructions at Yashica Guy's site, and did they work well?

The instructions at Yashica Guy's site worked just fine for me. I removed the Top Plate of my GT to clean the viewfinder. It made a world of difference.

I did it with both my GSN's and a CC too, extremely simple - however (warning) i managed to produce a small circular scratch on the top of the screw that holds the wind/cock lever. The ad-hoc tool i used slipped out from the holes. :bang:

EDIT: for replacing the top cover, you will need to lose the flash sync wire and reconnect it to the new top cover. It's soldered.
