I just received my Yashica today. It was working perfectly until I switched it to B mode. While switching it I accidentally twisted the entire lens instead of the ring and now that shutter won't open any ideas?

anyway to fix it? I seriously had for 5 minutes before this happened, I really want to try out a rangefinder. It was the last $45 bucks I had.

I have the same problem, though i was thinking it might be possible to just add slight extentions to the wires via soldering to reconnect the severed wires? or am i far off in this.

I've opened mine up through the lens and the green wire is cut. The wires are fairly taut so it will be a challenge to try to solder them. Does this wire have anything to do with the shutter or is that another problem? I can manually close and open the shutter, however I can't figure out what exactly isn't letting the shutter close back up again.

ps. Sure it's time consuming but everyone I talk to acts like its extremely difficult when it really isn't.

You're a braver man than I, blowcarrot! Congratulations. Now let's see the output. Some photos, please.

I still have a couple shots left in this roll, so I'm getting up early tommorow to finish it up. I'm quite proud to be a broke college student yet still using film. I'm going to try to round up $ to get this roll developed. I think I have several quarters in my dresser, and I know I have three bucks in my old jeans. I should be able to scrounge up enough. : )
