Yashica Lynx 14 will it won't it ?

I just recieved my camera from Ebay (where else!) it's quite a tidy example, the seller could not tell me if the meter worked, so I was nervous to say the least when it arrived. I took a battery out of a Minolta 7s (wein cell) and poped it in......no good *&%#.

But then just as I was about to throw a wobbler/tantrum I decided to try to give it a clean out with some vinegar, I reckon vinegar is so underated it has a multitude of use's old cameras & chips, I put the battery back in and bobs your uncle the meter fired up.

I guess I was lucky, because it could have been a junker, now I'm just looking forward to running a roll through it.

Will post some shots as soon as I get the chance to use it.

Hi, I had a similar issue with my ebayed 14e... the battery compartment was very corroded and I could only just get the battery cover off. Some vinegar and cutton buds soon fixed that, the cover screws on nicely now and the compartment is nice and clean. I'm just waiting for a battery converter so I can fire it up 😀

PS I still get a faint whiff of vinegar from the thing 😀
