You might have to take the top off so you can observe the catch levers under the winder. Especially because it is intermittent. That way, you can see the difference between what happens when it is working, and not working.

I pulled off the bottom plate to reveal the gears for the take up spool. Seems the screw connecting the winding shaft and the take up spool gear was loose. Tightened it up, and everything works great. I've got a roll of TMAX 100 in it now. We'll see how she does!

You'll want to go back in there and put some fingernail polish on the screw head to keep it from backing out again. No need to be fancy, clear will do. Unless you want to have a signature color all your own. 😀

Congratulations. You are indeed stubborn, which is not necessarily a bad thing (something I have pointed out to my wife, to no avail of course. After a while, you learn that losing an argument w/ the wife is smarter than winning one). Look forward to seeing the pics.

By the way, I had a Rolleicord shutter that continued to stick even after repeated cleanings w/ lighter fluid. I finally set it in a coffee cup for 24 hrs in 91% alcohol, lenses and all, and it straightened right out afterwards. This has worked quite often for those stuck Agfa lens focus issues as well. Just take the whole shutter off the camera, put it in the 91% alcohol for a day or two, and the lens will usually unscrew by hand. Usually.

Finally got through a roll and developed it last night. The exposures seem a little high, but I'm only metering from an app on my phone. Either way, I was able to bring them down a little in Lightroom. Other than that, the images turned out great. Sharper than I expected.
