I just got a great deal on a gorgeous Yashica T4 Super D (not Goodwill great deal, but a deal nonetheless). I think I'll have fun with this camera!

Question...I have been using a generic version of Ilford XP2 (in an essentially unmarked canister). The T4 reads the DX code or whatever off of the film which this canister does not have. Is there any way to manually set the film speed? I think I read that if the camera doesn't read anything from the canister, it will default to 100...is this true? And if so, is there a way to override it to something like 400?

Thanks!

Patrick

I see three options - respool film into ISO200 or 400 DX-coded canister, leave it as is and expose at 100, or buy DX stickers.

In most occasions XP2S (is it current emulsion or old plain XP2 [non-Super]?) benefits from being exposed at EI200. I haven't shot it at EI100 so can't say much how this will turn out.
