Don't know how many would be interested in this, but it's always neat to see the insides of a meter. This one had a broken wire to one of the battery terminals, and was an easy fix. A little cleaning, some adjusting, and it's good as new.

Small world...I just did this exact repair on the exact meter last week. On mine, the wire broke right at the solder point on the + cap. There was enough extra wire length inside the case that I didn't have to extend it.

I fixed another one of these yesterday. Mine, for some reason, differs in that it had a trim pot in stead of the fixed resistor hooked up to the CdS cell. The trim pot had rotted out from battery acid, but I replaced it with one of the tiny little pots you find on the main PCB of an Olympus OM-10 (of which I tore a seized-up example down once). Strangely, it now happily meters the same as the little Sekonic L216 I use and know to be 'good'
So, I promoted it from my junk equipment collection to my Yashica-A kitbag.
