Hi everyone, i have a few rangefinders, with no problem adjusting them. Just got a 1959 Yashica YK in very good condition, have been able to adjust the horizontal view but cannot for the life of me figure out the vertical. have had the top off looked at the adjustment screws still no joy, contacted the yashica guy he kindly sent me some diagrams but they were alas of no help.
does any know how this is done?. cant find any pics on the net to se if there maybe something missing.:bang:

regards

Just looked at my YK.
there is a screw on the back for 1 adjustment.
Surely that leads us to believe that the other is easily accessable.
Presumably under the flash shoe cover?
Rearmost screw (smaller one) behind the beam splitting mirror?

yes there is a slot under the hot shoe, on top of the brass barrel that holds the mirror there is a small brass grub screw doesnt seem to do anything.
regards

had another look , on the front there is a small screw which gives access to another screw, when turned it turns a small disc with a small metal foot on it all it does is make the horizontal axis go out, puzzled!!
