Yasuhara Help

I am practically newbies in Rangefinders user cause just recently got a Yasuhara T981.
Problem is the lightmeter indicator is not working. Checked the battery and they worked on my other camera that uses the same battery.

Is it a big probs without the indicator? We dont have a reliable camera repaires, specially because rangefinder is not really popular in where i am.
Any tips for clueless beginers like me? Is there any sites that i can reload on the know how?

Anyone know where can i get a manual in english on this type, perhaps?

Have you try switch the batteries position? I remenber switching the batteries in one and the position, if i remeber well, is not the usual one. Good luck.
