My Fuji Natura S finally arrived in my hands today, no thanks to the customer service office in my apartment failing to notify me that it was here for two weeks (grumble, grumble).

However, arrive it did and I am quite impressed with the build quality. My first impressions...

The Natura doesn't feel like a typical featherweight point-and-shoot; there's a very solid feel to this camera and it fits in your hand very nicely. It's a little larger than the Stylus Epic. Controls are logically placed and easy to reach. The large, backlit LCD panel, which I initially scoffed at when reading the camera specs, turns out to be a very nice feature. It's very easy to see what mode you're in without squinting or twisting the camera this way and that. Focus and motor sounds are somewhat louder than my Stylus Epic but not objectionably so. It's good to look through the viewfinder (with parallax-correction marks) and see that nice wide field-of-view. 35mm was starting to feel a little cramped and I don't really like hauling around my SLR to use the 28mm.

I think I'll do some daylight tests with ISO 100 slide film and then load up the 36-exposure roll of Natura 1600 film included in the box.

Fun times ahead, can't wait to post some shots from it!

Here's a quick side-by-side shot with my Stylus Epic. This should give you a better idea of the size of the camera if you haven't seen one in person.

How's the finder compared to the Epic? I've had the Epic, but always had problems finding the finder (hmm.. does that still make sense?)..
