I am trying to find a wedding photographer but hunting through the sites I cannot say that I appreciate many of them. Alright for some but I don't want cheese, I don't mind staged, but I don't want back to back, interlinking champagne glasses all that naffness. :bang: In fact I can see where they have gone over said photos in photo shop and added lighting effects or 'dodge and burnt' until everything looks so unnatural as to be unrecognisable.

Oh and I LIKE NOISE! someone that shot in film would be fantastic.

the only, singular photographer I like within the UK is this one:

http://www.jeffascough.co.uk/

really beautiful, photojournalistic stlye to them but he lives in lancashire, which is rather too far from Cornwall where I will be getting married.

help help help please :( any reccomendations at all!

I know, indirectly, a couple of people in your part of the world who may (just "may", mind you) be able to help. I've sent you a PM with some further details, so please respond on that channel if you think its worth pursuing.

Alice Elizabeth, Jeff has travelled to the other side of the globe to take wedding pictures, I don't think Cornwall is going to be too much of a stretch for him! You won't find a better photog, that's for sure. He now uses a dSLR but might shoot in film if you ask him nicely... ;)

I know peter but it seems he is unwilling for cornwall, probably as it would not be worth his while money / portfolio wise...I may just have another try though, his work is amazing.

lovely shadowfox, but given that they are predominantly based in california they would have a way to travel to reach the southwestern tip of england

Hi,
I am even further away than Jeff, if not I would volunteer.
(though I am not exactly a wedding photographer...).

Jeff Ascough is indeed a GREAT wedding photographer!

Thanks for the link. I think that he was the best I saw in that kind.
Maybe you should really hire him...
Anyway, I wish you a nice wedding and a nice married life.
Cheers,
Rui

Spend the money on a great photographer, after all the bride will only wear the dress once, the photos will be looked at by your grandkids...

Surely there are a couple of people on here who shoot film and will turn up for expenses. Could be a bit of a risk - being a wedding shooter is about guaranteeing the shots more than anything.

How about a posse?

Jeff Ascough is one of my favorites... even if he does shoot weddings. You'll be fine, I'm sure.

Brett took a day course in M8 for scared novices like me , and is a great , quiet , modest guy if his style suits .
