Yellow car blamed for 'photobombing' village of Bibury

A great incentive to buy a yellow car if you want to preserve some privacy from photogawkers with a sentimental-village-life agenda. I foresee a Yellow Car movement, though a repurposing of the Yellow Bicycle movement might be better, certainly cheaper on a village-wide scale.
I like that, sounds like a great photo opportunity!

There's only really one thing that you can do at a moment like this...

...Go find the yellow car!

Yelow car photobomb! by gray1720, on Flickr

Incidentally, going to the trout farm and feeding the trout was great fun - thoroughly recommended!

I've thought about this a bit more, and think the citizens of Bibury ought to agree to cover their cars with slate tiles to go with the roofs. This will make them more hail proof as well.

Alternatively, use protective covers, aka Auto Condoms designed to look like The Hay Wain as painted by Constable.

Ah, Constable; and was the red barrier section added by a disciple of J M W Turner ? 😀

Red always will, I guess. Not even sure what i was doing there, couldn't see any damage to the bank underneath it.

A workmate said this morning that I should have tried to get a reflection of the view in the car. Dammit, he's right!

Adrian, Perhaps the red gate has been put there to annoy the tourists after all the comments about the yellow car.

With this in mind maybe we could have a new thread: Objects Deliberately Put in a Place to Spoil the View and to Annoy Photographers. 😀

Now there's an idea!

Oxford is heaving with them (many of them being the tourists themselves...), I'm sure we can get a thread going...
