Evil?
Maleficent?
Vile?
Malevolent?
Yes, I'm sure that Mr. Bartender intended for the tongue to be firmly in the cheek when assigning the title for this subforum.
Let me ask this, somewhat serious and somewhat lightheartedly, is it necessary to put the SLR down in order to build up or hold up the RF? Can't the RF stand alone by its own merits?
What do we have against the SLR? ("Ah don't got nothin against SLRs, ah just don wan ma daughter to marry one!)
Do SLRs have the right to exist?
Do SLR users have the right to exist?
Now when you start talking about DSLRs, then I admit you're talking EVIL with a capital E.

SLRs are evil like cars or screw caps, they're just too easy

Oh, is that it! I thought they were evil because they were too complicated!

EVIL as in "Electronic Viewfinder, Interchangable Lens" maybe.
Film v. digital, RF v. SLR, Hammer v. Screwdrver.
These are all just tools for crying out loud...

'Horses for courses' !!....my Fuji S3 pro. dslr earns me a little cash, occasionaly and gives sharp, detailed enlargements, that Joe Public thinks are great! - last week I shot a high school function ( 150 images ) - the editing and printing would have been a long and costly task, using film,.....but for the personal stuff I usually preffer my rangefinders or old Nikkormat!!
Dave.

Maleficent? Crikey - it's not often RFF drives me to use the OED...
Back to the topic, I find it interesting that this happens at about the same time that DSLRX formally admits film SLRs to its ranks.

Hey, when I was far younger, I would have killed for an SLR. I just didn't have the money, so I had to settle for range finders. When I finally could afford a reflex, I was too set in the ways of the rangefinder to change.
