I know these issues have been addressed a million times over here in the forum but I can´t seem to find the answer searching. I have a bessa r with a j8. I´ve just been traveling through cuba and noticed that when focusing at infinity the images didn´´t quite line up in the rangefinder when the lens was set to infinity. I can´t imagine how actual images would be out of focus at infinity but having developed my slides I noticed a good few focus problems at close up. What should I do to adjust this? Should I adjust the lens or the camera´s rangefinder itself. I´ll probably be using this set up alone for a while so I can optimize it without worrying too much about other lenses. By the way i did get some quite excellent shots with the setup in cuba, and will try to post them as soon as i get to a scanner. Thanks
John

the camera's rf could be out a bit when the lens is focused to infinity.
it should be fairly easy to adj. for infinity on the Bessa R
I do not own a CV Bessa, but the adj. should be similar to the inf. adj. on a Zorki 4, although the plug screw and adj. screw would be in a different location on the Bessa R.

Well, actually it's not that easy, but notdifficult at all to calibrate Bessa R's RF. Just follow the link to another RFF thread in my signature... There you'll find 2 links to Bessa calibration tutorials...

Also the lens collimation link might be of interest to you... together with the manuals at pentax-manuals.com you can make your combo focus correctly.
