Yet more blossom pørn: RD1s + Noctilux

I know the world really doesn't need any more of the oof-blossom-bokeh-thing, but with Spring here in Sweden at last, and the cold days finally over... well, I couldn't resist.
I took about a hundred shots today in the sunshine, and I'm just too hungry to sort through them, so here's a more-or-less random trio:

Well, all of those looked much lighter here than in Ps - which I think was because I forgot to embed a color-profile. Here's one more to test...

Wow, very nice, the 3rd one in the original post is amazing, the left side is "painted" by the Noctilux in a way no other lens does. The first two are very nice as well.

I know I shouldn't really, but i love the way the Noctilux does this sort of shot. The great thing about the lens is that, closed down it works brilliantly too. Sometimes I consider getting rid of all the others and just keeping this one...
The RD1s makes a great companion for it!

fills the rest of us RD-1 users with pride to see such a unique lens being used on the un-M8! The colors are beautiful in the last two (of four) shots. Were you using a special film setting, too?

That's right Mike! I'm coming out! I love the Noctilux, I love flowers, and I'm PROUD! 🙂
But seriously - thanks guys - I know I was risking a life-ban from the forum for doing this, but now I feel it was worth it. 😎

No special settings - I took the photographs early in the morning with a rich warm slanting sun (it still doesn't get overhead in the sky just yet in Scandinavia). As I said, the first two images look rather washed-out compared to the 'real' versions to me - I inadvertently saved without embedding a profile, and even Safari seems to knock them back a bit.

It was a fun day anyway - you get to see so much more when you're out early for these sorts of things.

Oh and PS:
1. re the comparison with the M8 - for the sorts of shots most of us are doing, the Epson is a marvelous camera for less than half the price.
2. The color wouldn't be the same through Lightroom - which I found 'muddies' the hues. The Epson processor is really special for retaining both rich, natural color and sharpness.

Okay - even though I suspect you guys may be encouraging me just to see if I'm stupid enough to contravene the 'no-more-than-six-noctilux-flower-images'-rule, but I'm tempted to upload three more because I quite literally took over a hundred! 🙄
These ones just caught my eye because of that 'abstract painting' thing - plus one of them is the most 'candy' shot of the day!
I'm not ashamed! 😱

But I did just look at your blog, and saw you have the 75 Summilux!! Now I'm jealous! 🙄

I have the Summicron 90/2 but it doesn't work on the Epson - which I'm really sad about. I bought a really nice Tele-Elmarit 90 2,8 the other day to use for digital instead, but it's just not the same... So I wish I could lay my hands on a 75! Just not affordable for me right now. 🙁
