I got mine today. I chose 135, and received 120, 🙁 and I have no use for it as I only have 35mm cameras. Oh well, at least it didn't cost me anything.🙄

I guess they received so many requests for 135 that they ran out and just filled the orders with what they had.

how about trade with me? I give you the $25 coupon that comes with the package? You send me 4 rolls of sample film? I will pay for the postage-🙂

Well, that would at least quell the cries of "nobody shoots 35mm anymore" at their next board meeting.🙄

Of course, who knows what weirdness lurks in the collective heart/mind of EKCo., especially these days? I'm sufficienntly sold on the virtues of Portra already that I'll likely buy a case of the new 160 NC in a while; it just would've been nice if Rochester properly followed through with their "freebie" program to my (and, judging from this and a few other threads here, others') satisfaction. I, like you, have four wonderful 120 rolls of Portra I can't use (and, no, I'm not about to run out and get a Mamiya or 'blad...or a Holga, for that matter. If someone has a f/2.8 Rolleiflex TLR I could borrow, however...).

I'll betcha the green-box company woudn't have screwed the pooch quite like this.

Hey Barret: Don't blame all of Rochester! 😉

For all who received film you cannot use, why not write to the person (can't recall his name) who signed the letter in the tube?
Point taken: I'm really pulling for these guys, and not because I reside in the same state. 😉

I just wish one hand knew what t'other was doing, is all. Their film product (what's left of it, anyway) has gotten so damn good that it hurts when one department – let's call it the Winning Hearts and Minds Department - shoots itself in the foot like this, at a moment in time when it can ill afford to.

The guy's name who signed the letter in the tube is Scott DiSabato. He is the Marketing Manager, Professional Film. I wonder if it would do any good to write him, or perhaps he's already been inundated with e-mails about this little snafu.

As for the $25.00 rebate form, it wouldn't do me any good anyway because I don't think I could buy, and use anywhere near $125.00 worth of film by the end of January 2007. Oh well.:bang:

This is just dumb! There could/should have been a 135 & 120 box to click if they were going to send a mixed lot. To send the film type not checked is unforgivable. Makes you wonder how these companies stay in business with folks like they have running things.

No, I still don't have mine either.

Of course, it *is* still free. One can't complain too much.

Gift horse and all.

😀

A goof certainly, and a simple one to avoid (pretty easy to keep those lists seperate I would think.. databases are not rocket science) - but I would hardly class it as unforgivable.

Hey endustry, if you haven't tossed it too far, I'll take that 120 off your hands. I'm also in NYC.

Let me know.

I tossed mine. Nice thought, Kodak, but I don't have a 120 camera and I did check the 35mm box on the form. I know it's free film but when I start getting all the junk mail I knew I'd end up getting when I gave them my address, I'll feel a little less blase about it considering the snafu.

I received my film yesterday. One roll of 160VC in 120 and two rolls of 135, 160NC and 400NC. I checked 120 size only. Anyone want to trade 120 for my 135?

I received my free film yesterday. I chose the 135 (35mm) option and received 4 lovely rolls of 120 film...for which I have no use. Any one want to trade?

anyone want to trade for 7 rolls of 120? I got 3 rolls of 400nc, 2 rolls of 160nc, and one roll each of 400vc and 160vc. My tube came open and all of the film boxes are beat up though none are fully open. The letter in the tube says that my 4 free rolls are enclosed even though there are 7? I also got 2 rolls of 120 that got sent to my girlfriends house too. Id get a mf camera but i have a dedicated 35mm scanner and dont feel like venturing into medium format yet. So, PM me if you got anything you want to trade
