Yippee! Spring is here so it's time to break out the Fuji Fortia SP!

First sign of Spring this week with a mild spell in New York. It's time to break out the Fuji Fortia SP, high saturation E6 film, that I bought from Japan last fall.

And what wonderful packaging for the Japanese market. Not only do the colors cry out "Glory Hallelujah" but each package comes with a top notch film bag in black (35mm) and mauve (120mm) that says "Fujichrome Professional".

Megaperls has it back in stock. Fuji only produces it during Cherry Blossom time. It's like the flowers - it only comes out in the Spring. Stock up today if you want to use it throughout the year.

Fuji only produces it during Cherry Blossom time.

I'm not sure but I don't think so. At least also in fall you see this film in stores, if not year around.
(on the right corner of the package it says 'recommended for the fall season'). But yes, it wouldn't harm to use on the cherryblossoms either.

Difficult to get hold of, but Agfa Ultra also gives very staurated colours.

Agfa Ultra 100 has been going for $5 and change on ebay, plus a hefty shipping charge.

The last batch of Agfa Ultra 100 has a 7/08 expiry date.

I wish Fuji would come out with a print version of this- I'd love that as my Agfa Ultra stocks are dwindling...

I have never seen it in the USA, online or off line. Megaperls is the only online store where I have found it. And, yes, it is expensive at 50 cents per shot. 😱

Damn...and I was (slightly) smarting at paying $28 for a 5-roll pro-pack of (USA) Kodak Portra 160NC tonight at Adorama. Now I'm ready to party and buy another pack! 😉
