It wasn't hard for me to choose what lens to take for my 2 week camping trip. I knew I'd be shooting landscapes, closeup macros, and family snaps. So I wanted a wide, sharp lens, and didn't care if it was fast. I'd be asleep by dark each night, after hard days of hiking.
I selected the Olympus Zuiko Pen-F 25mm F4. Very sharp lens (beats the Canon 50/2 LTM on this camera), and it will focus very close.

I am still pleased with the XE-1 using only adapted lenses. The only problem is the battery will go suddenly from 2 bars to flashing red, if you let the camera get cold. It was in the 30s at night. You must keep up with your battery level, before leaving AC power.
