Remember the scene in the Crocodile Hunter where buddy is held up at knifepoint while visiting NYC? He whips out his bush knife that dwarfs the mugger's knife and the mugger runs away.
That's how feel now with my new to me Fuji GW670II. I just got it this morning courtesy of Earl's courier service. The thing is a beast. It's almost comical!
Earl, Gene, and I met for breakfast this morning in Port Credit. Earl also brought me an equally diminutive Olympus Pen, and brought Gene some Nikkor (slr) prime lenses. Great to meet up with you guys, even if I didn't join you in actually eating breakfast!

Yeah, post some shots, both of your new gear and of you guys. Hope all is well up on GTA - I'm overdue for a visit and hope I can make it before the weather turns too cold for this wimpy Californian!
-Randy
P.S. Let me know, Frank, if you decide to unload that Pen camera as I have an itch to try one out.

Wait to you see the photos you get with that baby---shoot a roll of Velvia and then lay it out on the light table. I love my GW690III so much I started an entire website for Fuji Rangefinders----and this was before most photo-sharing websites existed. Enjoy!

Thanks Rich!
Here you go, Raid and Randy.
Included in the shot is a normal size camera, with my new CV21. Images of the guys chowing down their 3 eggs and bacon breakfasts are still in this camera.
Randy, I just got it! It seems like a jewel, and I like fully manual. Come up for a visit and you can try it out.

Frank,
Well, now I know what you mean...
I didn't know the Fuji was that big.
Best regards,
Uwe

Whoa, that IS a knife!
And looks about as useful in a street fight, too.
As for the Pen, she's mighty cute. I even like the braided wrist strap on her.

Wow - that reminds me of the time we realized that with 3 more inches of vertical clearance, we could have parked a friends Miata in the trunk of my Buick.

Dave: Good save! BTW, Gene's doing well.
OK, next time I'm up, I'll make sure we all have the coordinates for breakfast somewhere. Nothing like caffeine, cholesterol & cameras to start the morning!

Fuji used one chassis for their GW and GSW series. So, all of them look like a big 6x9 camera. Honestly, the BIG FUJI looks better next to Earls Olympus XA.

Ken Hansen coined the term "Texas Leica"
Many years ago, in exchange for a rare lens, Ken Hansen gave photographer Bob Schwalberg a Fuji RF camera w/a sticker that said "TEXAS LEICA"

Sure, these masterpieces are hughe. I call them 'the brick in my face'. But the images are razor sharp. I'd say nothing can beat the image quality of a Fuji 6x9 used with a tripod.
