You keep forgetting what film your camera holds?

Masking tape with felt pen note on top of film can: fresh film
Same tape moved to camera: film inside identified
Same tape moved to trash, film back in can with no label on top: exposed
Is that really so hard???
I like it, never heard it before. I bulk-load so for me, I'd stick it back on the film somewhere so I remembered it when I came to develop. Porta don't turn out good in D76!

Is that really that much harder than your way?

Oh dear, I feel so old/stupid; imagine me using the same B&W film for years and years and the same colour negative film...

Regards, David

PS So what do you do with several hundred pictures of the same camera with the same film in the thing?

More room on the bottom of the camera IMHO. Is the film pushed or pulled? Details can be added. Remove film, remove tape and stick to the canister. As the tape can be torn by hand, no scissors are required and it won't fall out if you wish to stick something in the accessory shoe.
excellent method also yours, but mine is more expeditious. you do not need a pen, tape and even the scissors. the cardboard box can be ripped with sufficient accuracy by hand. and then the result is more elegant and can be seen even if you use the camera case. This obviously applies to those who, like me can not stand the flash and has the built-in light meter or use a hand held light meter

Windows? OSX? No and no, thankyouverymuch. Smart phone? My phone is dumb enough that masking tape is a step up. My brain is dumb enough that this phone is as complicated as I can deal with.
It is a website, no need for any operatingsystem specifically. You could even use Linux if you wanted to.

And I don't understand the anti-smartphone vibe here, true, a moleskine would be just as useful and much more durable - however, most carry a smartphone anyway and wouldn't carry a notebook.

Now, that's a complete idea! Simple, and gets it all done. I'd even peel it off the canister and stick it on the Print File sheet (camera & lens info added.) Brilliant!
