I, too, prefer the B&W. He has a way of making images look old. Wonder what kind of B&W film he uses. To me, it looks like Tri-X.

Tho I do not like all if his photos I found his portfolio to be a really serious and careful approach tp what is called street photography.
Especially his B&W work is outstanding, a very personal style, none of the pics is boring or makes me think "ah just another imitatation of a classic photographer! "
Uniqe style, modern , dynamic, he is an artist IMHO.
